The crest is in 4 quarters. Each represents a facet of the GAA club and surrounding area.
1. A football, obviously to represent our strong footballing heritage.
2. Two hurleys and sliotar, obviously to represent our hurling traditions which has been on the up in recent years.
3. A Boat - to represent the fact that we are a sea-side village. We wanted something that would represent a facet of Stradbally so it was decided to take a nautical theme. Various options were put forward including an anchor, the Cove Strand, a boat etc. The wreck of the "Cirilo Amores" which went aground on Feb. 15th, 1925 can still be seen at low tide at Ballyvooney. Hopefully we won't go the same way.
4. A Cross - Our parish church is the Church of the Holy Cross.
